Isnt this awesome!? i was so happy with this turnout that i had to cut open atleast 5 or 6 cupcakes to see if they all did it, and they did. these are done with chocolate chip oatmeal cookie dough. i have tried it with peanut butter and sugar cookie and peanut butter with reeces pieces in it. they all do this , but not as much. but the flavor of the other cookie does taste good with the brownie, especially the peanut butter. its not a strong taste but its still there.
I am so excited, in a couple days i will be getting a kitchen aid mixer 6qt. i know i will be getting a lot of use out of it. I think, even tho it was still a little expensive, that i got a good deal. I am getting a free ice cream maker attachment and i also got no shipping fee, which i thought was great.
i went down to my moms this past friday and we were talking about baking and she brought up how on food network that they have made different things using sugar and water and boiling it and then u can , quickly shape it and form it, probably with utencils beings its hot. so we made some and this is the best i could do for never doing it before, my sugar water heart. i plan on messing with it more in the future and adding color to it and seeing what i else i can do.

Chocolate frosting recipe
1/2 c. miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbs land o' lakes butter ( i just used the unsalted butter that i had, generic brand)
5 tsp water
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. vanilla
dash of salt
combine chips, butter and water and cook over low heat until melted and smooth. remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar, vanilla and salt, until smooth and creamy.
very good recipe. not real sweet and i used a ziploc with the corner cut out to apply it to the brownies. i will be using it again.

I was being creative here and decided to try something out. this is got a brownie base and has pieces of peanut butter cookie dough folded in it, then the remaining cookie dough on top. It also has chocolate frosting on top. I plan on trying this out again because the cookie dough, even tho i put it in the freezer for a long time, was breaking apart as i folded it into the brownie mix. Also, part of the brownie didnt get all the way cooked in the middle. I baked the brownie part for so long then took it out of the oven and added the remaining amount of peanut butter cookie dough on top. I think i didnt let the brownie part cook long enough before i did that. I also wasnt able to see all the cookie dough pieces that i folded in there. I dont know why. So my plan next time is to use a different pan, coat the pieces of cookie dough in flour, and see what happens.
I have also been making other things besides trying to learn how to decorate cakes. I made cheesecake for the first time a couple months ago. It turned out really well, it didnt crack or anything like that. I was kind of worried about that, cause of what i've read about what could happen when cooking those. I used the recipe from the cardboard package that i got of the cream cheese. Philadelphia cream cheese in the block form, not the easy spread.
Recently, i went down to see my aunt for lessons on cake decorating. She has been making cakes for about 27yrs, or somewhere around there. She makes awesome cakes. I learned quite a bit from her and pictured here is my practice cake. The tree is a ice cream cone and we used a leaf tip to decorate it. I put a squirrel in the tree with some frosting and made the 2 little presents with it as well. We had lots of fun and the cake was yummy.
Besides trying to learn how to decorate cakes, i also have tried making other things as well. like scones. My one sister just loves my cinnamon scones. i use the recipe from this link www.joyofbaking.com . It has a lot of good recipes. One of the other ones ive tried on there is the granola bars and those were very good too. You will have to check it out.
